I have confirmed that sitting in my office chair, eating Chinese food out of the carton, and staring at my computer monitor are not especially good for my fitness. Big surprise. Today, instead of trying to bite off something remotely similar to a 120-mile or 150-mile ride, I went out for 3 hours of comfortable riding. After the first hour, I felt OK on the bike- by no means ready to attack the Tour peleton on a finishing climb but I didn't hitchhike home either.
